We are seeking a passionate, values-driven Registered Manager to lead our Ofsted-regulated service. You will join an organisation committed to quality, integrity, continuous improvement, and outstanding outcomes for children. Working closely with an experienced Operations Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving excellence, safeguarding young people, and ensuring the home operates to the highest standards.
The Role Registered ManagerAs the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Ofsted-regulated service and ensuring the highest standards of service delivery. In keeping with the company ethos, you will focus on quality, excellent service delivery, business development and commercial success. You will be accountable to the Operations Director and play a key role in shaping the future of the home.
Safeguarding- Comply with Safeguarding Childrens procedures at all times
- Promote an honest and open culture
- Ensure all safeguarding risks are acted upon immediately with appropriate action taken
- Comply with Health & Safety policies and procedures
- Ensure the service meets all mandated training and compliance targets
- Manage a fully compliant service in line with all legislation and regulation
- Ensure financial viability in accordance with Ofsted requirements
- Adhere to organisational policies and procedures
- Promote and protect the reputation of the organisation
- Maintain professionalism, integrity, respect and confidentiality
- Participate in the managers out-of-hours on-call rota
- Demonstrate passion and commitment to excellent support and quality
- Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations, company policies and standards
- Achieve and maintain at least a Good Ofsted rating, with Outstanding as the goal
- Deliver the highest standards of person-centred childcare focused on best outcomes
- Provide evidence of quality assurance and best practice
- Provide leadership and coaching in childcare practice
- Demonstrate strong and effective leadership at all times
- Inspire, motivate and build a highly skilled and engaged workforce
- Ensure effective deployment of staff and resources
- Provide feedback to the Operations Director on service performance, incidents and improvements
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Manage financial viability and meet (or exceed) agreed targets
- Positively promote and market the service
- Build excellent working relationships with stakeholders
- Lead on enquiries, referrals and new business opportunities
- Contribute to the overall success of the organisation
- Lead a culture of continuous improvement and best practice
- Promote a learning culture and support staff development
- Seek opportunities for innovation to maintain a resilient and sustainable service
- Celebrate and share success across the organisation
The successful candidate must be approved by the appropriate statutory body and meet Ofsted registration requirements.
Qualifications, Knowledge & ExperienceIn line with Regulation 28 Fitness of Manager, you must:
- Be of integrity and good character
- Have the appropriate experience, qualifications and skills to manage the home effectively
- Be physically and mentally fit to manage the home
- Have at least 2 years experience (within the last 5 years) in residential childcare
- Have at least 1 years experience supervising or managing staff
- Hold (or be working toward) the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Leadership and management excellence
