Clinical Lead Nurse

Location: Ilford, East London

Salary: £58,000 to £65,000 per annum

We are recruiting for a Clinical Lead Nurse to join a well-established nursing home in Ilford. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced nurse leader to take on a key clinical role within a large, purpose-built service that provides nursing, dementia, respite and younger adult care. The home offers a well-supported care environment with strong operational infrastructure, making this a good opportunity for someone who wants to combine hands‑on clinical oversight with leadership responsibility.

Requirements
  • Valid nursing qualification with active NMC registration
  • Significant experience in a clinical setting
  • Leadership or supervisory experience within a nursing team
  • Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology and care planning
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A proactive, organised and resident‑focused approach
  • Previous care home experience preferred
  • Must have the right to work full time in the UK, as sponsorship is not available

Key responsibilities
  • Provide high‑quality clinical care and maintain strong nursing standards
  • Lead and support the nursing team, promoting a positive and accountable culture
  • Assess resident needs and develop comprehensive care plans with the wider multidisciplinary team
  • Monitor clinical outcomes and adapt care plans where needed
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory requirements
  • Support compliance with safeguarding, health and safety and clinical governance standards
  • Contribute to staff training, coaching and ongoing development
  • Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure effective, joined‑up care delivery
