Overview
The Registered General Nurse – Nights is responsible for delivering safe, compassionate, and high‑quality nursing care to residents during night shifts across Jewish Care’s residential and nursing services. The role works as part of a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate person‑centred care, ensuring residents’ physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met throughout the night.
Key Responsibilities- Lead night shifts and support the care team in delivering excellent person‑centred care.
- Administer medication safely and maintain accurate medication records in line with NMC and regulatory guidelines.
- Monitor residents’ health and wellbeing, responding promptly to changes in condition.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.
- Promote safeguarding, dignity, and high‑quality care standards.
- Support, motivate, and train colleagues through guidance, supervision, and training.
- Collaborate with families and external healthcare professionals to promote safe, responsive, and dignified care.
- Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN).
- Registered nursing degree (Bachelors or Masters).
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in a care or clinical setting.
- Experience leading or supporting care teams.
- Experience administering medication and maintaining accurate records.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Positive, flexible, and team‑focused approach.
- Experience working with older people and individuals living with dementia is desirable.

Working Pattern• Average 40.25 hours per week on a rota basis.
• Week 1: 4 shifts, Week 2: 3 shifts.
• Shifts run from 7:45pm to 8:15am (12½ hour shifts including breaks, 11.5 hours paid due to 15‑minute handover meetings).
