Fence piece Road Medical Centre, a family practice, is recruiting a practice nurse to work autonomously within primary care. The work centres on general nursing, childhood immunisations, cervical smears and dressings, plus running vaccination and insulin clinics. Chronic disease management for asthma, COPD and diabetes, with QOF and LIS work and patient education, makes up much of the role. Applicants need six months' experience as a practice nurse, EMIS Web familiarity and a valid NMC registration.
Whatthe job involves
- General nursing services, including childhood immunisations, cervical smears and dressings
- Running and managing clinics, such as vaccination and insulin injections
- Chronic disease management for asthma, COPD and diabetes, including QOF and LIS work
- Patient education, with advice and guidance on health topics
- Commitment to evidence-based practice
- Valid NMC registration
- Minimum of 6 months' experience as a practice nurse
- Trained on EMIS Web, with refresher training available if needed
- Right to work in the UK
- DBS check and Occupational Health clearance under the framework compliance requirements
- Updated CV
