We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Head Chef to lead our kitchen team at a care home in Ilford. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, nutritious meals tailored to the dietary needs of our residents.

• Plan, prepare, and serve meals that meet the nutritional standards and preferences of residents.
• Lead and manage kitchen staff, ensuring a collaborative and efficient work environment.
• Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene and safety compliance.
• Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering and stock control.
• Work closely with care staff to accommodate special dietary requirements and preferences.
• Develop and update menus to provide variety and balance while considering cost control.
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to maintain quality standards.

• Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role, preferably within a care home or healthcare setting.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and nutrition.
• Ability to create and adapt menus according to the needs of residents.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Relevant culinary qualifications and certifications.
