We are looking for a Restaurant Manager/Assistant Manager for our Indian Vegetarian restaurant.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Recruiting, training and supervising staff
  • Manage reservations and customer reviews; develop a good rapport with regular and new customers.
  • The restaurant serves between 800 - 900 covers during the week and 1200+ covers during the weekend, so ideally experienced in a very busy restaurant, and knows how to manage crowds.
  • Agreeing and managing budgets
  • Planning menus
  • Ensuring compliance with licensing, hygiene and health and safety legislation/guidelines
  • Overseeing stock levels
  • Ordering supplies
  • Producing staff rotas
  • Handling customer enquiries and complaints
  • Taking reservations
  • Greeting and advising customers
  • Problem solving
  • Preparing and presenting staffing/sales reports
  • Keeping statistical and financial records
  • Assessing and improving profitability
  • Setting targets and handling administration and paperwork
  • Liaising with customers, employees, suppliers, licensing authorities and sales representatives
  • Making improvements by promoting and marketing the business and developing the restaurant.

    • Salary: 35,000 to 45,000 (depending on the experience) Gross Per Annum

    Skill/experience/qualifications:

  • Experience working in Indian Restaurants and Fluent in one or more Indian Languages.
  • At least 3 plus years of experience working in an Indian Restaurant as a restaurant Manager.
