Salary: £14.29 Per Hour + Mileage Reimbursed

Up to 50 hours per week, occasional weekends

The Mobile Store Detective works across multiple retail locations under the B&Q Contract. The role requires your own vehicle and business insurance. You will reduce theft and stock loss, protect customers and staff, and support security operations.

• Monitor customer behaviour and detect suspicious activity across multiple sites
• Covertly observe and, where appropriate and safe, apprehend shoplifters
• Provide detailed incident reports and witness statements as required
• Liaise with store managers, staff and local police when necessary
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and SIA guidelines
• Travel between assigned stores in Essex and Kent
• Represent the company professionally at all times

• Valid SIA Licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervisor)
• Previous experience as a Store Detective or Retail Security Officer preferred
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential)
• Strong observation and communication skills
• Confidence in dealing with conflict and making decisions
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends
