Residential Support Workers

Service: Four-bed children’s residential home

Job type: Full-time, permanent

We are recruiting residential support workers for a four-bed children’s residential home in Ilford.

The home supports children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs. You will provide consistent care, structure and positive role modelling.

Responsibilities

• Supporting children with daily routines and activities
• Promoting emotional regulation and independence
• Responding appropriately to challenging behaviour
• Delivering key-work sessions
• Supporting care plans and risk assessments
• Completing daily records and incident reports
• Supporting education, appointments and community activities
• Following safeguarding and missing-from-care procedures

Requirements

• Recent UK children’s residential experience
• Experience supporting EBD or complex behaviours
• Good safeguarding knowledge
• Ability to work shifts, weekends and sleep-ins
• Unrestricted right to work in the UK
