Residential Support Worker (Children’s Home)

Ilford, East London

Salary: £14.00 – £15.00 per hour (paid monthly)

Hours:

Full‑time, shift‑based (Mon–Sun)

Day

Shifts:

8:00am – 8:30pm Waking Nights: 8:00pm – 8:30am

We are seeking full‑time Residential Support Workers to support children and young people in a safe, nurturing, and structured home environment. This is a rewarding role where you will help create positive outcomes and stability for those in your care.

Essential Requirements

* Minimum 6 months’ experience working with children or young people in any care, education or support setting.

* Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

* Ability to advocate for young people and promote their wellbeing

* Reliable, professional, and committed to safeguarding

Desirable

* Residential childcare experience (highly advantageous)

* Experience working effectively within a team

* High integrity and emotional resilience

Key Responsibilities

* Support children and young people in daily routines

* Create and maintain a safe, nurturing home environment

* Build positive, trusting relationships as a key worker

* Promote education, independence, and positive behaviour

* Work with social workers, families, and other professionals
