Senior support worker children residential

We are currently recruiting Senior Support Workers to join our children's residential service in Ilkeston, supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs.

We welcome applications from both qualified and unqualified Senior Support Workers. While qualifications are desirable, relevant experience at a senior or step-up level is essential and will be a key factor in shortlisting.

• Unqualified Senior Support Worker:£13.31 per hour
• Qualified Senior Support Worker:£13.69 per hour
• Sleep-in rate:£50 per sleep

• Full UK driving licence
• Experience working in a children's residential setting
• Ability to lead shifts and support junior staff
• Flexible availability for shifts including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins

• Lead shifts and ensure high standards of care are maintained
• Act as a role model and mentor to Residential Support Workers
• Support care planning, safeguarding, and behaviour management
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to reports
• Promote positive outcomes, stability, and emotional wellbeing for children and young people

• Level 3/4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (preferred but not essential)
• Strong experience will be considered in place of formal qualifications
