Are you patient, creative, and passionate about helping students with additional needs? At TP Tutors
, we’re looking for dedicated SEN Tutors to provide 1:1 support for learners in Ilkeston (DE7) who need tailored guidance to re-engage with their education.

Our pupils may be out of school due to anxiety, SEND, or other barriers
. You’ll deliver face-to-face sessions in safe, local settings — in the home or community spaces like libraries — focusing on building trust, boosting confidence, and creating a positive learning environment
.

• Supporting pupils with SEN and SEMH needs on a 1:1 basis
• Adapting teaching strategies to match each learner’s style and emotional needs
• Delivering personalised tuition in core subjects
• Helping learners rebuild confidence and re-engage with education
• Providing short progress updates for parents or local authorities

• Experience working with SEN learners (school, tuition, or care experience)
• Patient, adaptable, and able to motivate reluctant learners
• Hold an Enhanced DBS (or willing to apply)
• Passionate about making a real difference in young lives

• Competitive pay: £25–£30 per hour
  , depending on experience
• Flexible hours during the school day (Monday–Friday)
