Monarch Education are recruiting Lunchtime Supervisors to support primary schools across Ilkeston from September 2026.
This is a great opportunity for individuals looking for part time work during school hours while playing an important role in supporting children during their lunchtime break. We are working with a number of schools seeking positive, reliable and proactive individuals who can help create a safe and enjoyable environment for pupils.
About the RoleYou will supervise pupils during lunch and break times, helping to promote positive behaviour, social interaction and pupil wellbeing throughout the school day.
Schools are looking for individuals who can confidently engage with children, use their initiative and contribute to a positive and supportive school environment.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise pupils during lunch and break times
- Encourage positive behaviour and safe play
- Support children with social interaction and playground activities
- Help maintain a safe and structured environment
- Assist with transitions between lunchtime and classroom activities
- Report incidents or concerns in line with school procedures
- Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff
- Experience working with children or in a childcare setting is desirable but not essential
- Positive and proactive attitude
- Ability to build positive relationships with children
- Calm, patient and approachable manner
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable and punctual approach to work
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
