Job Title: GCSE Tutor
Location: DE7, Ilkeston
Hours: Part-Time, Weekdays During School Hours
Pay Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience and qualifications
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced GCSE Tutor to provide high-quality, one-to-one tuition to students in the DE7 Ilkeston area
. The successful candidate will support learners in achieving their academic goals by delivering engaging and tailored lessons that build confidence and attainment.
- Deliver personalised GCSE tuition on a 1:1 basis.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to each student's needs and ability level.
- Support students in improving subject knowledge, study skills, and exam preparation techniques.
- Monitor progress and provide regular feedback.
- Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
- Minimum 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience in the UK.
- Experience teaching GCSE-level students.
- Strong knowledge of the relevant GCSE curriculum.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate learners.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Right to work in the UK.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or relevant degree.
- Previous experience delivering 1:1 tuition.
- Experience supporting students with additional learning needs.
- Part-time hours during weekdays and school hours.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
