Peel Line Operative & Relief Driver

SALARY: £12.21 per hour

HOURS:

Part Time – 27.5 hours

Tasty Choice Foods, part of the George’s Group, is a busy, friendly production unit in Ilkeston, providing freshly prepared fish & potatoes, along with a variety of chilled goods, which we deliver across the George’s Tradition Group.

We're looking for a reliable, hands‑on team player to join our Potato Peeling Line team - someone who's not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in! This role also includes acting as a relief driver, covering absence and holidays for our Transit Delivery Driver, so flexibility and a can‑do attitude are key.

In this role you will be required to load the vans and therefore there will be daily manual handling involved.

• Operating on the peel line, ensuring our products are prepared to the highest standards
• Loading vans and handling goods safely (manual handling involved daily)
• Supporting deliveries as a relief driver when required
• Working as part of a close‑knit, supportive team to meet production and delivery deadlines

• A genuine, reliable person with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Good time management and teamwork skills
• Previous experience in a catering or food production environment (preferred)
• Full, clean UK driving licence (required)
• Forklift truck licence (required)
