Workchain Recruitment is currently recruiting for experienced    HGV Class 2 (Category

C) Refuse Drivers    on behalf of a well-established    local authority    based in    Ilkeston   .

The Role    As an HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver, you will play a key role in supporting the local refuse collection service, ensuring waste is collected safely and efficiently across the borough.
Your responsibilities will include:
Driving a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle on planned collection routes.

Working alongside a team of loaders to complete daily refuse rounds.

Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks before each shift.

Operating the vehicle safely while maintaining awareness of colleagues working around the vehicle.

Following all DVSA regulations, road traffic laws and health & safety procedures.

Completing any required paperwork accurately.

Please note:

This is a    driving-only role   . You will be supported by a dedicated team of loaders, so    no manual loading or handball is required   .
Shift Pattern       Monday to Friday

6:30am starts

Finish times vary depending on the route

Approximately    3745 hours per week

Immediate starts available

Pay       £17.00 per hour

Weekly pay

Requirements    To be considered for this role, you must have:
A valid    HGV Class 2 (Category

C) Licence   .

A valid    Driver CPC Qualification Card   .

A valid    Digital Tachograph Card   .

Ideally a minimum of    6 months' Class 2 driving experience   .

No more than    6 penalty points    (no major endorsements).

Safety boots and a high-visibility vest.

A reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach to work.
