HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Finance Analyst to join our dynamic finance team.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in providing financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting to support our commercial operations and drive business performance. This position reports directly to the Head of FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis).

VARIED DAY‑TO‑DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Financial Analysis:
    Conduct detailed financial analysis to evaluate business performance, identify trends, and provide insights to support decision‑making.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business goals.
  • Reporting:
    Prepare and present financial reports, including variance analysis and key performance indicators, to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Cost Management:
    Monitor and analyse costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Business Partnering:
    Collaborate with commercial teams to understand their financial needs and provide financial support for strategic initiatives.
  • Data Integrity:
    Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data by implementing and maintaining robust processes and controls.
  • Ad‑Hoc Projects:
    Participate in and support various finance projects and initiatives as required.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN A CANDIDATE

  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Part‑qualified in CIMA or another relevant finance qualification desirable.
  • Experience:

    Circa 3 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably within a commercial or corporate setting.
  • Experience of working in a SAAS business and an understanding of the relevant KPIs is desirable.
  • Technical

    Skills:

    Proficiency in financial modelling, analysis, and reporting tools. Advanced Excel skills are essential; experience with ERP systems and Power BI is a plus. Experience working with large data sets.
  • Analytical Abilities:
    Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Communication:
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Team Player:
    Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and build effective working relationships.
  • Time Management:
    Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
