The Company
A relaxed, family‑feel IFA business looking to bring in an experienced Paraplanner following a recent expansion to their advisory team up in Ilkley, North Leeds. Sitting as a circa 15‑man firm currently with further plans to expand across the next 5 years, this is a really progressive opportunity suited to a technically astute Paraplanner/Financial Analyst.

Ilkley, North Leeds - Working Setup: Hybrid - 3-days office & 2-days WFH
- Hours: Full‑time or part‑time hours considered
£35-40k base DOE + annual bonus and full company benefits:
- Benefits: Discretionary bonus and full benefits package inclusive of pension, DIS etc as well as study support to Diploma/Chartered
- Holidays: 24‑days + stats
- Standard hours: 9am-5pm (Flexible working available)
A technically challenging Paraplanning role/remit providing key research/report writing support to multiple high performing private wealth biased financial advisers. Key accountabilities include:
- Prepare suitability reports and recommendation letters in line with FCA requirements
- Conduct whole‑of‑market research on pensions, investments, protection, tax planning, and retirement strategies using tools such as Adviser Asset, FE Analytics, and Assureweb
- Analyse client fact finds and develop appropriate financial planning strategies
- Support advisers with complex case preparation and technical queries
- Review existing client portfolios and produce analysis reports
- Prepare cashflow models and financial planning projections (e.g. Timeline)
- Assist with investment portfolio construction where required
- Gather and assess client and provider data (e.g. Aviva, Transact, AJ Bell)
- Maintain accurate client records using Intelliflo and ensure timely updates
- Ensure all advice documentation is FCA‑compliant and technically accurate
- Support file checking and ongoing compliance processes
- Monitor regulatory and product changes affecting client advice
- Work closely with advisers to develop and implement suitable recommendations
Whole of market IFA business environment experience is preferred with QCF Level 4 Diploma qualifications (or working towards) and case exposure inclusive of more complex investments, IHT planning and trust work also required. It's a role and opportunity that will suit someone looking for a relaxed office environment and a less‑pressured, non‑KPI focused working setup; but is motivated to stay involved in the technical work day to day.
