Health & Safety Advisor (Fixed-Term Contract)

Competitive DOE Join a leading organisation in a highly regulated manufacturing environment as a Health & Safety Advisor. This role is an excellent opportunity for a Health & Safety professional with experience across multi-functional operational environments, including pharmaceutical, food manufacturing, production, processing, laboratory, warehouse, engineering, or manufacturing facilities. Day-to-day of the role:
Conduct detailed Health & Safety audits across production, manufacturing, warehouse, laboratory, and office environments. Review and update Health & Safety policies, SOPs, risk assessments, and COSHH documentation. Identify compliance risks and implement corrective actions. Lead initiatives to improve safety standards and regulatory compliance. Ensure effective management of PPE, fire safety, first aid, and workplace controls. Review incident management processes and strengthen investigation procedures.
Support and develop Health & Safety representatives across operational departments. Deliver Health & Safety training and promote best practice throughout the business. Work closely with stakeholders to implement sustainable compliance improvements. Provide regular progress reports and recommendations to senior management. Required Skills &
Qualifications:
NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent Health & Safety qualification. Proven experience as a Health & Safety Advisor, Health & Safety Officer, HSE Advisor, or Compliance professional. Experience working within manufacturing, pharmaceutical, food production, FMCG, laboratory, chemical processing, engineering, distribution, or other regulated operational environments. Strong understanding of COSHH, risk assessments, auditing, and UK Health & Safety legislation. Experience driving compliance improvements across multiple departments and stakeholder groups.
Ability to work independently and deliver results within challenging timescales. Ideal Backgrounds:

Improve systems relating to COSHH, risk assessment, and incident management. Deliver demonstrable inspection readiness.
