About the Role

As a Senior Tax Accountant, you’ll take a hands-on role in preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, researching technical issues, and supporting clients across diverse industries. You’ll work closely with managers and partners while mentoring junior staff and building your technical expertise in a supportive, growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for corporations, partnerships, individuals, and trusts.
• Conduct tax research and provide well-documented conclusions and recommendations.
• Assist in tax planning, projections, and consulting engagements for clients.
• Identify and resolve complex tax issues while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Collaborate directly with clients to gather information and build strong professional relationships.
• Review work prepared by staff and provide constructive feedback and mentorship.
• Stay current on tax law changes and apply updates to client engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (Master’s in Taxation a plus).
• CPA or active CPA track strongly preferred.
• 3–5 years of recent public accounting experience in tax preparation and review.
• Strong understanding of federal and state tax compliance for business entities and individuals.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in tax preparation software (Pro System fx, Ultra Tax, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
