Director of Finance

I’m working with a growing law firm in Barrington that’s looking for an experienced Controller to take ownership of its financial operations.

This is a great opportunity to work directly with firm leadership, help shape financial strategy, and play a key role in the firm’s continued growth.

• Oversee accounting operations, including AP/AR, payroll coordination, and reconciliations.
• Prepare financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and cash-flow reports.
• Manage trust accounting, IOLTA compliance, and financial controls.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations directly to firm leadership.
• Improve financial processes and reporting as the firm grows.

• 3–5+ years of accounting, finance, or financial management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong Quick Books Online (or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with budgeting, reporting, payroll, and cash-flow management.
• Law firm or professional services experience preferred, particularly with IOLTA or trust accounting.

• $70,000–$90,000 base + discretionary bonus
