Strategic Programs Account Specialist

- Job Description

The Strategic Programs Account Specialist will work directly with Strategic Account Manager(s). Provide administrative and analytical support within the team’s account portfolio. Provide back-up to Strategic Account Managers and their clients in support of continuity of service. Execute transactions, conduct research, manage inquiries, complete projects, and prepare reports for internal and external use.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a second point of contact for the key accounts in the territory.
  • Develop relationships with key accounts both by phone, email, Teams and through customer visits.
  • Identify potential growth at existing accounts, via analytics of current business, such as identifying products that could be contracted long term and identifying lost business opportunities.
  • Margin Management, via pricing audit file and build out of price list for all customers.
  • Prepare presentation materials, quarterly review materials, and a wide variety of reports.
  • Keep CRM up to date.
  • Collaborate with Strategic Accounts teammates, Contract Team, Inventory Team, and PM team to establish best practices for establishing and ongoing management of strategic programs.
  • Ensure customer forecasting is up to date and communicate with customers to ensure we have a proper forecast. Communicate with customers about how they are pulling to contracts.
  • Work with Strategic customers on dormant and slow-moving inventory.
  • Take the lead on organizing the resources necessary for Account Managers to be successful.
  • Work with other departments to obtain information needed for Strategic Account Managers.
  • Facilitate and assist with Product Management communication-costs, availability, recommended pricing.
  • Assist with freight rate requests.
  • Assist in organizing and quoting bids.
  • Act as a secondary contact when Strategic Account Manager is unavailable.
  • Manage sample requests, delivery, and follow up.
  • Assist with any other areas beneficial to sales growth.
  • Support commercial team in data mining to facilitate conversations on contract compliance, market demand and future business.
  • Ability to support commercial team in crafting and coordinating great customer events and content, quarterly business reviews, innovation, and partnership narratives.
  • Proactive and ongoing dialogue with credit team for customer credit needs.

  • Strong proficiency in excel and data analysis.
  • Strong customer communication skills with diverse populations.
  • Able to navigate internally within Batory.
  • Able to work flexible hours.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to organize and execute complex projects.
  • Organized with excellent follow through capabilities.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and data analytics.
  • Excellent multitasking skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in data entry and project execution.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency, ownership, commitment and focus to meeting deadlines.
