Director of Sales – Drug & Value

This is a remote, field‑based position that requires travel up to 50% of the time, with overnight stays. Reporting to the Sr. VP of Sales for HARIBO of America, the Director of Sales – Drug & Value will provide strategic direction, coaching, and leadership for both our Drug & Value channel sales teams.

Eligible candidates have 10+ years of CPG consumer packaging goods experience, prior team leadership, and a bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities
  • Lead sales growth initiatives for HARIBO of America’s newly redesigned Small Format team (Drug & Value) nationwide.
  • Establish and execute a vision for the Small Format business, driving a customer‑centric, high‑accountability culture.
  • Develop, lead, coach, and mentor a small team of National Account Managers & Business Development Managers.
  • Accountable for joint business planning, executing brand strategies, and influencing the four P’s – Product, Price, Placement, Promotion.
  • Identify margin improvement opportunities and develop supporting strategies.
  • Accountable for forecasting and budgeting based on proper metrics.
  • Drive company growth targets with a solutions mindset and collaborative approach with cross‑functional partners.
  • Ensure compliance with standards, processes, procedures, and policies, holding others accountable to HARIBO’s high standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 10+ years of experience in sales, business development, category management, marketing, or related roles within the consumer packaged goods/CPG industry.
  • Proficient in Nielsen, IRI, Circana or comparable syndicated analytical tools.
  • Located within commuting distance to a major airport.
  • Remote, field‑based position that requires up to 50% travel with multi‑night stays.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in candy, confectionery, or salty snacks.
  • Prior experience calling on the Value channel and/or Drug channel.
  • Prior supervisory experience (people management/people leadership).
  • MBA or Master’s Degree in Business Administration.
Skills
  • Strong financial acumen.
  • Advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of MS Office (Word and PowerPoint).
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to execute day‑to‑day tactics while developing and monitoring a multi‑year strategic plan.
  • Strong decision‑making, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent management and leadership skills.
  • Ability to see the big picture while being attentive to details.
Compensation and Benefits

Target hiring pay range: $195,000 – $235,000 annually.

The pay range represents the minimum/maximum target annual base salary that HARIBO of America, Inc. may offer for this position at the time of posting. Salary is determined by education, experience, qualifications, internal equity, and geographic location.
