Primary ResponsibilitiesThe Manager of Customer Experience & Commercial Strategies plays a key cross-functional role supporting initiatives that connect Commercial strategy with Operations, Supply Chain, IT, and Customer Experience. This role helps translate commercial needs into executable solutions that improve customer onboarding, sales execution, fulfillment performance, and enterprise planning. The Manager will independently lead small projects and support larger, cross-functional initiatives led by senior leaders.
Strong project management, analytical, and change management skills are required. As with all positions at KeHE Distributors, all actions are expected to reflect KeHE’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
- Translate Commercial priorities into clear project requirements and support execution plans.
- Lead small initiatives that improve sales execution, account management, customer onboarding, retail execution, and customer-specific operational workflows.
- Support senior leaders on medium and large enterprise-wide initiatives and strategic programs.
- Support departmental initiatives including service model changes, SKU placement optimization, and DC-related readiness activities.
- Manage and oversee contracts and resources.
- Ensure alignment between customer requirements, commercial programs, and distribution center operations.
- Manage project timelines, milestones, risks, and deliverables across assigned work streams.
- Support components of programs such as OMS optimization, customer onboarding workflow improvements, enterprise planning enhancements, and network optimization.
- Develop project materials including charters, business requirements, timelines, and status updates.
- Apply the organization’s change management playbook to assigned projects.
- Assist in communication, training, deployment, and hyper-care planning.
- Support PDCA-based results tracking and stabilization efforts.
- Develop basic KPIs, dashboards, and reporting to measure initiative outcomes.
- Prepare project updates, analysis, and performance insights for leadership.
- Support project-level budget tracking and ROI assessments in partnership with the Director.
- May provide informal guidance or mentorship to analysts or specialists; no formal people management responsibilities.

- Solid understanding of food distribution, commercial operations, fulfillment, or supply chain planning.
- Demonstrated ability to support and lead cross-functional projects.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, including the ability to create executive-ready materials.
- Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, etc.).
- Effective stakeholder engagement and ability to influence without authority.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to guide peers or junior team contributors on project work.
- Periodic multi-state travel required.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field required.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial operations, supply chain, project management, or related roles (food distribution or CPG preferred).
- Minimum of 1 year of informal leadership or project leadership experience required.
