Location: Pleasant Creek LLC, Oglesby, IL
Job Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Campground Manager
Job Summary :
The Sales and Activities Manager is responsible for driving revenue through effective sales strategies and enhancing guest experiences by organizing and managing recreational activities at the campground. This role involves a blend of sales, marketing, event planning, and customer service to ensure a memorable stay for all guests.
Key Responsibilities :
- Sales and Marketing:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to increase campground occupancy and revenue.
- Promote the campground through various marketing channels, including social media, email campaigns, and partnerships with local businesses.
- Handle reservations, inquiries, and bookings efficiently.
- Track and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
- Activities Management:
- Plan, organize, and oversee a variety of recreational activities and events for guests of all ages.
- Coordinate with local vendors and entertainers to provide diverse and engaging activities.
- Ensure all activities are conducted safely and comply with campground policies and regulations.
- Gather feedback from guests to continuously improve the activity offerings.
- Customer Service:
- Provide exceptional customer service to all guests, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
- Assist guests with information about the campground, local attractions, and activities.
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for all visitors.
- Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate records of sales, reservations, and activity participation.
- Prepare reports on sales performance and activity success.
- Collaborate with the Campground Manager and other staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Proven experience in sales, marketing, or event planning, preferably in the hospitality or outdoor recreation industry.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using reservation and management software.
- Passion for outdoor activities and a commitment to providing outstanding guest experiences.
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as needed.
- Ability to work in an outdoor environment for extended periods.
- Physical ability to participate in and oversee various recreational activities.
