Director, Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management

Bright Star Care is looking for an experienced indirect sourcing and vendor management leader to build and lead an enterprise-wide vendor management program from the ground up.
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), this highly visible role will focus primarily on indirect spend and strategic vendor partnerships, including software/SaaS, professional services, business services, equipment, and conference and event partnerships. This is not a direct materials, manufacturing, logistics, transportation, or inventory procurement role. You will have the opportunity to design the strategy, create the structure, negotiate complex vendor agreements, and leverage Bright Star Care’s corporate and franchise network to drive greater value from key vendor relationships.

As Director of Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management, you’ll be a hands-on commercial leader responsible for driving cost savings, rebates, sponsorship revenue, and stronger vendor performance across the organization.

• Build and formalize Bright Star Care’s enterprise vendor management and governance program, including segmentation, scorecards, QBRs/EBRs, performance expectations, and escalation processes.
• Lead negotiations across indirect-spend categories, including software, SaaS, professional services, business services, and equipment, covering MSAs, pricing, service levels, renewals, rebates, sponsor ships, and other commercial terms.
• Leverage the scale of the Bright Star Care franchise network to secure stronger pricing, terms, rebates, sponsorship commitments, and overall value from strategic vendors.
• Lead vendor sponsorship and funding efforts for Bright Star Care’s annual conferences and key franchise events.
• Serve as the primary relationship leader for key vendors, building executive-level relationships and holding partners accountable for performance and commitments.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, Marketing, Operations, IT, and Franchise Development on vendor strategy, while establishing the long-term approach for managing vendor documentation, contracts, renewals, and related records.

• 5-10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supplier management, vendor management, or category management.
• Significant hands-on experience negotiating MSAs and complex commercial agreements.
• Experience designing or significantly scaling a supplier relationship management or supplier performance program.
• Strong negotiation skills and the executive presence to build credible relationships with VP- and C-suite-level supplier partners.
• Experience structuring rebates, volume incentives, or other performance-based commercial arrangements.
• Strong financial acumen, including total cost of ownership, rebate modeling, spend analysis, and business-case development.
• Experience using enterprise, multi-unit, franchise, or network-wide purchasing scale to improve supplier terms.
• A bachelor's degreeisrequired.
• CPSM, CSCP, ora similar sourcing or supply-chain certification is a plus.

Experience with in healthcare, franchising, or another multi-unit organization is also a plus, but not required.
