The School’s Out Program Lead is responsible for the daily supervision of after-school and holiday program participants grades K-5. The person in this role is responsible for assisting in the planning, development, and implementation of all program components and program activities in the School’s Out program. The Lead guides the academic and social development of children; ensuring a safe, enriching, and healthy learning environment.

Group Leads use a variety of resources, provided by the School Age Manager/Coordinator to introduce new skills throughout the execution of activities. To accomplish this, Group Leads are required to participate in ongoing professional development and planning sessions with the School Age Manager/Coordinator on a scheduled basis.

Salary Range: $16.00 – $16.50 per hour

Employment Type: Temporary Hourly Seasonal – Non Exempt

Experience/Education/Certification Requirements:

  • Must be at least 19 years of age or older.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Thirty semester hours (or 45 quarter hours) of credit from an accredited college or university with six semester hours (or 9 quarter hours) related to school age child care, child development, elementary education, physical education, recreation, camping or other related fields.
    OR
  • 1560 clock hours of experience in a recreational program or licensed day care center serving school-age children or a license exempt school-age childcare program operated by a public or private school.
