Teacher’s Aide; Part-Time

Overview

Rend Lake College seeks a part time Teacher Aide for the RLC Foundation Children’s Center located on the main campus in Ina. This individual will:

• assist in the implementation of developmentally appropriate activities for young children;
• assist teachers with the preparation of materials and learning environment;
• interact with children in a positive and respectful manner;
• help record daily documentation and information for parents;
• adhere to all RLCFCC policies and procedures;
• monitor children during lunch and recess;
• communicate effectively as needed with staff and students;
• maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom for young children;
• possess physical and mental health capabilities to work effectively with small children.

• College coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Experience providing child care strongly preferred.
• CPR Certification (Infant and Child) or ability to obtain.
• Good communication skills.
• Position is subject to DCFS background check approval.
• All candidates will be required to successfully pass a background screening process.

• Salary: $15 per hour
• 24 hours per week
