Reports ToChief Operating Officer
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Maintain an appropriate level of public relations with employees, clientele and hotel staff
- Communicate effectively with the hotels’ staff and with the Director of Audiovisual
- Achieve budgeted rentals and maximum profitability
- Maintain existing programs and develop new concepts that ensure the highest possible level of quality equipment and service excellence
- Maintain knowledge of local competition, resources, and general industry trends and innovations
- Implement and support operating policies and procedures
- Maintain a high level of professional appearance, demeanor, ethics, and image of self and subordinates
- Provide appropriate staffing to meet corporate objectives
- Coordinate internal training and development programs that foster promotion within the company
- Maintain updated and current knowledge of audiovisual projection, programming, sound, lighting, video, show direction, and all forms of audiovisual productions and equipment currently practiced by Five‑Star Audio Visual
- Maintain a current and secure inventory at location
- Maintain an ambitious, hard‑working, professional development of self and subordinates
- Other related duties as required or assigned
- Have the ability to effectively deal with people in a corporate environment
- Have the ability to be familiar with all office procedures as practiced by the company
- Have the ability to operate the business computer system
- Have the ability to make intelligent on‑the‑spot decisions pertaining to day‑to‑day operations
- Have the ability to work under pressure
- Minimum of 3 years experience in the audiovisual industry
- Advanced knowledge and experience with audiovisual setups and strikes
- Exceptional customer service or hospitality experience required
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record are required to operate company vehicle
- Certification in audiovisual technology or related courses (preferred)
- Audio – microphones, speakers, sound systems, channel mixers, etc.
- Video – LCD, LED, projectors, screens, monitors, etc.
- Lighting – GOBO, gels, up lighting, basic lighting kits, stage lighting, etc.
- Computers – Advanced knowledge on PC and Mac software
