Unity High School is an exemplary secondary school of 500 students located approximately 5 miles south of the University of Illinois Campus. Unity is a progressive learning community with students from 5 different rural communities making up its student body. The Unit #7 district consists of two newer elementary attendance centers, a new Junior High School and the High School has been completely remodeled both inside and out.

Position: Tenure Track – High School Social Science Teacher. Coaching and sponsor ships available (Asst. Basketball, Asst. Wrestling).

Qualifications: Candidate must be certified to teach Social Sciences/Social Studies at the high school level.

Job Description: Candidate will teach courses in the Social Sciences. Special consideration will be given to candidates who possess Psychology, Sociology, and Economics endorsements. Experience or interest in professional development activities is preferred. Talented and organized education leaders with exceptional people skills are encouraged to apply.

Salary: Salary will be commensurate with candidate’s qualifications and experience as determined by a competitive salary schedule. Employees of Unity High School will qualify for tuition reimbursement at the University of their choice and will take part in an extensive new employee mentoring program.

This is a full-time teaching position.
