Academic Trainee (AT9) – Department of Business Administration

International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) invites applications for the Academic Trainee (AT9) position within its Business Administration Faculty. The role is a contract posting (Malaysian nationals only) with a monthly fellowship allowance of RM2,700.00. The trainee will be based in the Gombak campus.

• Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, workshops and seminars.
• Develop curriculum and course materials across multiple platforms.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching methods and expand the knowledge base.
• Set and grade assignments, tests and examinations.
• Conduct research and produce papers, proposals, journal articles and books.
• Perform administrative duties for the department and the Kulliyyah.
• Attend and participate in meetings, conferences and other events.
• Engage in training opportunities and initiatives at the institution.
• Provide support to students and other colleagues.
• Stay current by reading widely and publishing work in the field.
• Design and develop income‑generating modules and programmes for the department.

• Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Strategic Management, Marketing or Entrepreneurship from a well‑recognised institution.
• Master’s degree in the same disciplines preferred.
• Previous teaching experience advantageous.
• Published work advantageous.
• Professionalism, self‑motivation and commitment to completing a PhD within a designated timeframe.

• Potential for academic and research excellence.
• Collaboration with colleagues and contribution to institutional academic goals.
• Strong communication and teaching skills.
• Flexibility, resilience and willingness to work long hours.
• Proficiency in essential software (Excel) and educational technologies (Learning Management Systems, multimedia tools, online communication platforms).
• Effective instructional skills to engage diverse student populations.
• Commitment to perform administrative duties.

• in Bahasa Malaysia and English Language (SPM level or equivalent).
• IELTS Band 7 / MUET Band
