The Department of Economics & Finance at North Central College invites applications for a tenure‑track position in Finance to begin August 1, 2026. The candidate will join the faculty of the School of Business and Entrepreneurship as a full‑time Tenure‑Track Faculty Member.
Responsibilities- Provide instruction for both basic and upper‑level courses in finance, including derivatives and financial institutions, as well as MBA or basic economics courses, if needed.
- Develop curricula for new finance elective courses in the candidate’s research field.
- Mentor undergraduate students and engage students in research when possible.
- Pursue research activities in finance, including writing, dissemination, and presentation of research at national conferences.
- Terminal degree (Ph.D. or DBA) in Finance or Financial Economics, or ABD status with completion before the start date.
- Commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring of students.
- Ongoing scholarship that can be published in high‑quality journals.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching.
- Progress toward (or completion of) CFA.
- Ability to teach AI, machine learning, and/or fintech.
- Experience working with diverse student populations and communities.
