Overview

- Prepare for and deliver instruction and perform teaching-related activities.
- Manage the classroom/laboratory.
- Develop curriculum and monitor and revise as appropriate to maintain course effectiveness; assist in program evaluation.
- Manage equipment, supplies and materials.
- Assess student performance and advise students on academic issues.
- Collaborate with the advisory committee in the program area.
- Attend departmental and institutional meetings.
- Promote the education/training program, participate in efforts to recruit and retain students, and participate in efforts to market MATC.
- Support student organizations and activities.
- Develop relationships with business and industry.
- Complete program evaluation and follow-up.
- Maintain certification, continue professional development and stay current in the field.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Must have at least ONE of the following:
- Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field such as Industrial Electrician, Fluid Power Technology Technician or Engineering, Automation Technician or Engineering; OR
- Completed an apprenticeship in Industrial Maintenance, Machine Repair, Millwright, Machine Tool or related Automation or Maintenance field; OR
- Technical Diploma or Military (A school) diploma with five years (10,000 hours) experience in the areas listed above.

Minimum Requirements
Must have a minimum of three years of full-time or equivalent (6,000 hours) experience in Industrial Maintenance or related Machinery or Automation area. In addition, one of the following must be met:
- Two years of work experience within the last five years; OR
- Two years of teaching Industrial Maintenance course work at the post-secondary level within the last five years.
One (1) year of teaching experience is equivalent to two (2) semesters full-time or four (4) semesters part-time – per State of Wisconsin Legislature Administrative Code TCS3 3.04.
Industry or Vendor Certification- Possess a current Journey level status in Industrial Maintenance or Automation in a related area such as Industrial Maintenance Engineer, Industrial Maintenance Technician, or Machinery Technician, ASE Master or Fluid Power Specialist.
- Must complete required instructor training from Amatrol within five (5) years of hire in Fluid Power Basics, Fluid Power Advance, and Mechanical Drive Systems.
