Position:

Tenure Track – High School Student Services Coordinator

Qualifications:

Candidate must hold a valid Type 09 teaching certificate, a valid Type 73 certificate, or a Master’s Degree in Counseling.

Job Description:

The qualified candidate will be able to provide students, parents, school staff, and the community, services in the following areas:

Assists students in evaluating their aptitudes and abilities through the interpretation of individual standardized test scores and other pertinent data, and works with students in evolving education and occupation plans in terms of such evaluation.

Works with teachers and other staff members to familiarize them with the general range of services offered by the counseling department, and to improve the educational prospects of individual students being counseled.

Supervises the preparation and processing of college, scholarship, and employment applications.

Perform district testing duties and interpret call data for evaluation.

Works with the Administration to set High School Class schedules.

Initiates, assembles, maintains, and interprets accurate cumulative progress records, activity records, and uniform transcript records for district students.

Performs such other tasks as may from time to time be assigned by the Principal or the Superintendent of Schools.

Salary:

Salary will be commensurate with candidate’s qualifications and experience as determined by a competitive salary schedule. Employees of Unity High School will qualify for tuition reimbursement at the University of their choice. Employees of the Unit #7 school district may enroll their children in the district tuition free. New employees will take part in an employee mentoring program.
