As a CS Lecturer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the minds of the next generation of CS professionals. Your responsibilities will span teaching, curriculum development, research, and community engagement, aiming to deliver an outstanding educational experience. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about both technology and education, eager to contribute to the academic and professional development of our students.
Key Responsibilities- Curriculum Development:
Design and update comprehensive CS courses that reflect the latest industry trends and academic standards. - Teaching Excellence:
Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and lab sessions across a variety of CS subjects, incorporating cutting‑edge technologies and software. - Student Assessment:
Create and evaluate examinations, assignments, and projects to gauge student knowledge and skills, providing constructive feedback. - Research Contribution:
Conduct and publish impactful research in the CS field and supervise student research projects and theses. - Professional Development:
Remain current with technological advancements and pedagogical strategies through continued education and active participation in academic communities. - Community and Industry Engagement:
Collaborate with industry experts to ensure curriculum relevance and foster opportunities for student placements. - Mentorship:
Offer academic advice and personal mentorship to students, guiding them towards academic and professional success.
- Doctorate (PhD) in Computing from a recognised university.
- Master’s and Bachelor’s Degree in Computing.
- Malaysian applicants are welcome to apply, fostering a diverse and inclusive academic environment.
Particularly in a higher education context, typically encompass a blend of academic qualifications, teaching abilities, research skills, and personal attributes that enable effective education delivery, student engagement, and contributions to the academic community. Prior experience in teaching and research in the higher education sector is an added advantage.
