Shop Power Generation Technician

We are looking for a talented In-Shop Power Generation Technician / Mechanic to join our Distribution Business in Pontoon Beach, IL.

Hours: 6:30AM - 5PM Monday
- Thursday or Tuesday
- Friday (days determined by branch).

• Completing repair activities on generators or components
• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
• Maintain detailed records of service
• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
• Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
• Maintain own tools

• Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.
• Proficient knowledge in troubleshooting commercial/mobile ONAN and other make/model generators.
• Proficient work experience in replacing generator internal components and operating a load bank.
• Capable of electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision – hands on exposure to working on power generation products.
• Fabricating Experience (Preferred)
• Basic Diesel Engine experience.

Level II Technician Salary Range: $33.24 - $39.50

Salary rate commensurate with experience. • Apprentice Trained Power Generation / Electrical Technician (Preferred)
• Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
• Current relevant electrical certification

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Proficient knowledge in troubleshooting commercial/mobile ONAN and other make/model generators. Proficient work experience in replacing generator internal components and operating a load bank.
