Are you passionate about creating energy-efficient buildings that make a measurable impact? Gresham Smith is seeking an Energy Engineering Analyst who thrives on using data-driven insights to advance sustainable design and performance. This role combines technical expertise, creative problem-solving, and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams to deliver smarter, more sustainable solutions for our clients.
What You’ll Do- Develop and implement sophisticated energy models using leading software tools (e.g., IESVE, Energy Plus, Revit, Rhino, or Sketch Up).
- Analyze building performance data to uncover opportunities for enhanced efficiency and sustainability.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers to integrate energy-saving features and performance strategies into projects.
- Evaluate HVAC, lighting, and envelope systems to optimize building performance and occupant comfort.
- Translate complex modeling outcomes into clear, actionable insights for clients and project teams.
- Prepare detailed reports and visually engaging presentations that support design decisions and client goals.
- Stay current with the latest energy codes, regulations, and industry innovations driving sustainable design.
- Ensure all energy models and recommendations align with applicable standards and best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Engineering (Mechanical emphasis preferred).
- Experience using energy modeling tools such as IESVE, Energy Plus, or similar software.
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a passion for sustainable design.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
- A collaborative mindset, eager to engage with multi-disciplinary teams and contribute to innovative solutions.
