-5pm Job Description Summary

As a member of the Process and Controls Engineering Team, you will be an active contributor to support the Clean Combustion Parts and Services business. You will develop tenders and lead contract execution while cross‑functional collaboration develops controls solutions based on customer needs and solves complex problems across the Clean Combustion product line of utility and industrial boilers. You will be a team player, at times a task leader, acting with humility, transparency, focus, and inclusion;

analytically minded, decisive, and collaborative.

• Identify, develop, evaluate, introduce, and manage engineering solutions for product control and control system technology needs. Apply control theory and mathematical modeling to design and control systems with desired behaviors, including operability, setting of boundaries, cycle optimization, control logic, control related software, sensors, hardware, and software algorithms, and feedback to control the performance of devices, subsystems, and control systems.
• Work autonomously on complex tasks.
• Develop complete hour estimate, schedule, and material lists for cost estimating from engineering selections and customer requirements.
• Utilize in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking to execute business strategy.
• Have an understanding of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Codes, Burner Management Systems, and Distributed Control Systems.
• Have knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others.
• Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews. Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering codes, policies, and procedures.
• Use some judgment and have some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Use technical experience and analytical thinking. Use multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.
• Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explain information, developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field.
• Domestic travel to visit customer sites.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Electrical Engineering or other engineering discipline with a minimum 6 years of relevant work experience.

• Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
• Respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn.
