Senior Controls Engineer

Job Description

Pay Range: $55.97/hr - $60.97/hr

• Identify, develop, evaluate, introduce, and manage engineering solutions for product control and control system technology needs.
• Apply control theory and mathematical modeling to design and control systems with desired behaviours.
• This includes operability, setting of boundaries, cycle optimization, control logic, control related software, sensors, hardware and software algorithms, and feedback to control the performance of devices, subsystems and control systems.
• Work autonomously on complex tasks.
• Develop complete hour estimate, schedule and material lists for cost estimating from engineering selections and customer requirements.
• Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute business strategy.
• Has an understanding of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Codes, Burner Management Systems and Distributed Control Systems.
• Knows best practices and how own area integrates with others.
• Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews.
• Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering codes, policies and procedures.
• Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles.
• Uses technical experience and analytical thinking.
• Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.
• Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
• May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements.
• Explains information, developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field.
• Domestic travel to visit customer sites,

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Electrical Engineering or other engineering discipline with a minimum 6 years of relevant work experience.
