Job SummaryThis position is in the Drivetrain Systems and Software Team and will lead the development of hydrostatic transmission controls.
Responsibilities- Provide technical leadership in the design, development, and enhancement of electro‑mechanical systems to optimize product and system performance.
- Lead multiple programs, identify deliverables, specify and track budgets, develop software, and perform verification testing.
- Design and implement software and procedures to control and enhance electro‑mechanical and mechatronic device performance in collaboration with scientists.
- Prototype mechatronic devices with motors, solenoids, gears, sensors, and springs.
- Identify and address product weaknesses in finished products.
- Analytical Thinking – ability to determine root causes and develop alternative solutions.
- Problem Solving – apply problem‑solving knowledge to diverse situations.
- Embedded Systems – develop embedded systems capable of controlling machine operations.
- Requirements Analysis – elicit, analyze, and record required business and non‑functional requirements.
- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
- 5+ years of engineering experience aligned with seniority for this position.
- Experience using MATLAB/Simulink for software development.
- Significant knowledge of software tools such as Git, CANalyzer, CANape, and a Software Debugger.
- Significant knowledge of hydraulics and controls.
- CAN/J1939 communication protocols.
- This position requires full‑time work at the Mossville, IL office.
