A holistic, fiduciary-driven wealth management firm based in Buffalo Grove, IL, is adding a high-caliber Lead Planner / Service Advisor to support a rapidly growing client base and elevate the planning experience across Chicagoland. This role owns the client relationship after onboarding, delivering retirement planning, tax‑efficient income strategies, investment analysis, insurance planning, and ongoing financial guidance. You’ll serve as the primary point of contact, run client review meetings, build plans, prepare reports, and support a professional “pod” team in a fully fiduciary, evidence‑based planning environment.

$90,000.00/yr - $/yr
Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000 Base Salary / Year DOE + Annual bonus opportunity
Lead Planner / Service Advisor Responsibilities- Serve as the main point of contact for an assigned book of middle‑class to upper‑middle‑class pre‑retiree and retiree clients
- Build comprehensive financial and retirement plans, including income strategies, asset allocation, and Social Security optimization
- Conduct investment analysis, tax‑efficient withdrawal modeling, and insurance planning
- Prepare illustrations, planning reports, meeting summaries, and follow‑up action items
- Lead and participate in client review meetings in person
- Support the Lead Advisors within a collaborative “pod” structure
- Answer client questions, resolve service needs, and provide proactive guidance
- Maintain impeccable organization, documentation, and follow‑through
- Use internal tools, tax planning software, and Microsoft Office to produce accurate deliverables
- Identify opportunities for appropriate upsell/cross‑sell with existing clients
- 3+ years of financial planning experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- Series 65 or 66
- Life Insurance License
- High proficiency with Word, Outlook, and planning tools
- Background in financial advisory / RIA environment
- CFP preferred; must be willing to obtain within 2 years
- Strong organization, follow‑through, and client‑service skills
- Comfortable working 100% onsite and face‑to‑face with clients
