Overview

The Specialty Beauty Advisor – Clinique (SBA – Clinique) maximizes sales in the Clinique brand by engaging guests, providing product expertise, and maintaining overall store standards. This role supports the Experience Manager through performance, people, and process initiatives.
PrincipalDuties & Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed Clinique brand sales and store goals for retail, service sales, and guest loyalty.
- Provide exceptional service: greet guests, personalize interactions, offer samples, and recommend complementary products.
- Perform makeup applications, skincare analyses, and product demonstrations.
- Book appointments and support in‑store events, ensuring sales goals are met.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and an active preferred customer list.
- Communicate current promotions, events, and services to guests.
- Stay informed about new products, ingredients, and trends.
- Maintain diligence and punctuality.
- Support an inclusive environment for teammates and guests.
- Share loyalty program benefits and Ulta Beauty app with guests.
- Participate in brand training, in‑store events, and promotions.
- Adhere to Ulta Beauty policies, procedures, dress code, and brand standards.
- Keep work area replenished, displayed, and compliant with hygiene standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of all assigned areas.
- Assist with merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, and inventory procedures.
- Follow loss prevention best practices.
- Execute other operational tasks as directed.
- High school diploma preferred.
- Cosmetology or demonstrator license required by state law.
- Cosmetics artistry experience preferred.
- Demonstrated competency in sales, products, and service.
- Strong customer relationship building skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle guest concerns proactively and prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
Position Requirements
- Flexible schedule (days, evenings, weekends, holidays).
- Attend brand‑sponsored trainings.
- Frequent mobility and standing, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, twisting.
- Continuous lifting or moving up to 10 lbs.
- Coordinated manipulation of objects during shift.
