Job Description- The NPD Practitioner demonstrates, through behavior, alignment with Advent Health’s mission, vision, and service standards.
- The principal duties and job responsibilities are based on the Standards of the Association of Nursing Professional Development.
- The NPD Practitioner supports learners in interprofessional practice and learning environments to facilitate continuous development and learning for the healthcare team.
- Orientation/Onboarding:
Creates, plans, implements, and coordinates orientation for individuals new to the nursing unit/department using the ANPD standards of practice including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation with the NPD Practice model using inputs, through puts, and outcomes to ensure a systematic approach to onboarding orientation. - Adjusts implementation strategies as needed based on the learner’s developmental level, learning needs, readiness, ability to learn, language, and cultural preferences.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- Bachelor’s of Nursing (Required)
- Master’s of Nursing
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) - RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement
- Nursing Professional Development - Board Certified (NPD‑BC) - EV Accredited Issuing Body
- Registered Nurse (RN) - EV Accredited Issuing Body
