We are growing! We are adding another Dr. day at our Mahomet location!! We are searching for another Optical Technician at Burgwald Eye Center in Mahomet, IL.

An Optical Technician is a valuable asset to an Optometrist as they assist in providing excellent care to patients during their visit. This candidate will be able to handle a wide range of duties while using optical equipment to perform the initial testing needed to prepare the patient for an exam with the Doctor.

* Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide exceptional customer service during every encounter, in person, or via phone. Display a professional attitude. Greet patients with a smile, and thank them when they leave. Operate Auto Refractor, and Retinal Camera Comply with all company policies and procedures including HIPPA. Assist with some medical billing, and posting of insurance payments. Consistently creating a positive work environment by being very team oriented, and patient focused.

Ability to interact with all levels of employees in a courteous, professional manner at all times. General office duties.

* Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, and walk.

* Hours:

Monday 9-6, Tuesday 10-7 Wednesday 9-6, Thursday we are closed, Friday 9-6, Saturday 9-12( but you get paid for 5 hours ) We close everyday from 1-2 for lunch. Hours are non-negotiable.

* We do not offer insurance benefits at this time. Paid time off, as well as sick time start after 1 year of service. Experience would be helpful, but willing to train.
