Location: SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital, Centralia
Schedule: 6:30 am – 5:00 pm (10‑hour shifts). Includes weekend and holiday rotation.
Pay: $18.00 – $24.62 per hour (Hourly)
Job SummaryResponsible for communicating with patients, participants, and staff to accurately schedule procedures and gather necessary demographic, insurance, and clinical information.
Job Responsibilities- Gather patient information and enter it into the appropriate database. Seek resources to resolve issues concerning type, date, or location of procedures.
- Schedule patient procedures efficiently, utilizing patients’ time and clinical resources. Coordinate and communicate schedules.
- Assist with coordination of insurance pre‑certification/authorization activities.
- Provide counseling to patients, participants, or representatives regarding pre‑service requirements and instructions.
- Perform clerical and reception duties associated with patient registration.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High‑school diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience.
- No experience required.
- Frequent lifting/carrying of 0‑25 lb objects; occasional lifting/carrying of 25‑50 lb objects.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
- Frequent use of vision for near and far distances to identify and distinguish colors.
- Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information, including hearing alarms or machinery.
- Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
- Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, and gripping; occasional climbing.
