About the Role

As a Cath Lab Procedure Technician, you will play a crucial role in our Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. Your responsibilities will include:

Operating x-ray equipment and monitoring ECGs
Assisting physicians during catheterization procedures
Maintaining sterile fields and ensuring radiation safety
Participating in on-call rotations

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:

Education: Graduate of an approved School of Radiology or equivalent training
Licensure/Certification:
- BLS required; ACLS preferred within 12-24 months of hire
- Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety license
- ARRT certification
- Completion of a basic EKG class within one year of employment
Experience: One year of patient care experience
Skills: Completion of radiation safety classes within 90 days of employment

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

Set up and operate various electrical equipment during procedures

Monitor patients' ECGs and alert physicians of any irregularities

Explain procedures and obtain consent from patients

Prepare patients and assist in maintaining a sterile field

Record and interpret data collected during procedures

Maintain and troubleshoot equipment

Instruct and mentor technologists and staff

Participate in quality assurance for x-ray equipment

Engage in continuing education to maintain certification

Collect relevant patient information for physician review

Working Conditions

This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule. Plus, we offer an exciting $20,000 - $40,000 sign-on bonus!
