Job Summary:Join our team at Sandwich Living and Rehab LLC, where caring is our tradition. As a Dietary Aid, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional food service to our residents. This part‑time position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about food and care for others.
Responsibilities:Review, prepare, and serve meals in accordance with planned menus, standardized recipes, and special diet orders.
Prepare and serve residents' bedtime snacks and substitute foods for those who refuse served meals.
Ensure the department is maintained in a clean and safe manner, adhering to sanitary regulations and following infection control precautions.
Prepare meal tickets and run the tray line.
Prepare desserts and snacks as instructed.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must possess a valid Food Handlers Certificate.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Possess patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, with the ability to handle residents with varying maturity levels.
Ability to seek out new methods and principles and incorporate them into existing food practices.
Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.
Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics to enable these senses to function adequately.
Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.
May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
