Position Department Wellness Center - CAPS Position Details Position Department Wellness Center Position Details Position Summary The Outreach Coordinator/Counselor supports the Wellness Center's mission by facilitating psycho educational workshops and campus wellness outreach programs. Oversees the Peer Educator Program, guiding student leaders in promoting health and wellness. Provides mental health services to students, including initial consultations and intakes and individual or group therapy.

Essential Functions Oversee peer educator program, design and deliver training programs to ensure peer educators are prepared to effectively support program goals, provide accurate information, and model appropriate professional and ethical standards. Coordinate peer educator work schedules, including timesheet approval, and assignments to ensure effective delivery of grant-compliant outreach activities. Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and feedback, fostering a positive experience/environment.

Lead the planning, coordination, implementation, and assessment of wellness outreach programming. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver departmental programs that support student well-being and institutional priorities.

Develop and deliver student-focused psychoeducation workshops covering the dimensions of wellness. Maintain accurate documentation of programs, attendance, and participant feedback.

Provide clinical counseling and psychological services including but not limited to initial consultations, intakes, individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and ongoing consultations.

Other Duties and Responsibilities Other duties may include providing case management services and participating in center outreach or educational activities.

Other duties as determined or assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities Not responsible for supervising others.

Requirements Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Clinical Psychology or related field, required.

Licensed as a mental health professional in Pennsylvania, required.

Minimum Work Experience1 to 3 years of relevant experience.

Independence of Action Results are defined and existing practices are used as guidelines to determine specific work methods and carries out work activities independently; supervisor/manager is available to resolve problems.

Equipment Used Standard office equipment including desktop computer, phone, copier/printer/fax machine.

Physical/Environmental Demands Office environment.

Specific physical requirements or environmental exposures.

Infectious Diseases:
Employees are frequently exposed to contagious or infectious diseases.

Exposure to Animals:
Working in laboratories with animals.
