Salary Range: $30.00 To $45.00 Hourly

We are looking for a Registered Nurse to work in our Emergency Department.

Status: PRN, nights

Schedule: 7pm-7am

Administers IV’s, medications and treatments.

Responds appropriately to emergencies.

Evaluates patient response to interventions & acts accordingly.

Maintains the department in a constant state of readiness.

Communicates effectively with peers, health team members, patients, visitors & others.

Communicates patient information as required for continuum of care.

Usage of the computer system.

Implements charges.

Familiarity with SOP’s.

Issues appropriate orders.

Records report on the written log.

Provides a positive clinical experience for EMT’s.

Collects forensic specimens.

Filing mandated reports.

Knowledge of laws/regulations as they pertain to emergency nursing.

Resolves problems and supports the unit team.

Adapts to change and maintains a positive working attitude with others.

Awareness of proper infection control.

Teaches patients and/or significant others & shares knowledge with EMT’s or students.

Interprets data & identifies patient requirements relative to age specific needs.

Other duties as assigned.

Must have current hospital experience (within 5 years), or be a new nursing graduate (within 2 years).

Must be able to think clearly during emergencies & be able to function well in extremely stressful situations.

Prefer at least 1 year of experience in hospital clinical nursing.

State of Illinois RN license.

CPR certification upon hire.

ACLS certification within 90 days of hire.

PALS certification within 90 days of hire.

ECRN certification within 2 years of hire preferred.

Recommended TNS & CEN certifications after 3 years preferred.
