Pay Range: $18.00–$19.00 per hour plus gratuity, commensurate with experience and education.
Signing Bonus: $250 (90‑day waiting period applies).

Role Summary

This is a dual role within the Hotel Arista Front Office Team, functioning as both a Greeter and Front Desk Agent.

Front Desk Agent Responsibilities
  • Acquire and relay information that personalizes the guest’s stay.
  • Create a ritual experience around arrival and departure.
  • Conduct guest registration and follow check‑out procedures as outlined in the Standard Performance Procedures.
  • Offer the Personal Hosts business card at the end of the Welcome Ritual.
  • Fulfill traditional concierge and bell person roles.
  • Room the guest by transporting luggage to the room.
  • Escort the guest while making conversation and picking up clues that personalize the stay.
  • Describe all facilities and note hours of operation.
  • Explain features and functions of the guest room (nightlight, iPod docking, emergency evacuation procedures, etc.).
  • Answer Welcome Desk telephones and handle special requests, questions, complaints, and problems.
  • Handle guests’ messages and mail (if applicable).
  • Utilize the FLASH report and Outlook calendar (i.e. selling status).
  • Understand applicable emergency procedures and evacuation protocol.
  • Follow credit policy and procedures of the hotel.
  • Be familiar with all aspects of the hotel.
  • Maintain close and harmonious working relationships with all hotel departments.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of the In‑Room Dining Menu to assist in taking orders and making suggestions to guests.
  • Be fluent with Opera PMS, Guest History, Reservations, Ibahn, Digital Alchemy, Microsoft Outlook, and any other pertinent hotel operational technology.
  • Transport guests and associates in company vehicles.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
Greeter Responsibilities
  • Welcome the guest, assist with immediate questions, and bring luggage into the hotel.
  • Upon arrival, obtain the guest’s name and pass it on to the Personal Host.
  • Remember guest names and use them often throughout the stay.
  • Engage in relaxed conversation while waiting with the guest.
  • Provide farewell ritual as outlined in SPPs.
  • Facilitate traffic flow into the front door and driveway, calling for outside transportation if necessary.
  • Transport guests to local businesses and attractions in the area.
  • Valet‑park guests’ cars upon arrival and departure.
  • Be accountable for upkeep and cleanliness of hotel vehicles.
  • Examine limousines and any cars called by the hotel to ensure they meet luxury standards.
  • Maintain log and write reports on any incident involving a guest, employee, or property damage.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the entrance, inside and outside the hotel.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Background in a luxury hospitality environment or a related field strongly preferred; willingness to learn personalized and luxury service is more important.
  • Skills: Valid driver’s license with a clear motor vehicle record; neat and clean appearance; attentive, helpful, and courteous at all times; flexible schedule and availability for nights, weekends, and holidays; excellent verbal and written communication; ability to follow through on details; enthusiasm for making people happy; teamwork orientation.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to walk and stand up to 8 hours a day, bend, stoop, squat, and stretch; ability to lift up to 75 lbs regularly.
