Housekeeping Manager Fairfield Inn & Suites Chicago Midway Airport Position Summary The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department to ensure exceptional cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and compliance with Marriott brand standards. This position leads and develops housekeeping team members, manages departmental schedules and budgets, and maintains a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests and associates.

Leadership & Team Management Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop housekeeping associates.

Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and recognition.

Create and manage team schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels.

Foster a positive work environment focused on teamwork and guest service excellence.

Housekeeping Operations Direct cleaning and presentation of guestrooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.

Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards.

Coordinate room readiness with Front Desk and Maintenance.

Respond promptly to guest requests and service recovery situations.

Quality Assurance & Compliance Maintain cleanliness scores and inspection results.

Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and OSHA requirements.

Monitor inventory and housekeeping equipment.

Implement key control and loss prevention procedures.

Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum 2 years of housekeeping supervisory experience in a hotel environment.

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Marriott experience preferred.

Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally with assistance.

Availability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules.
